On some parcels, there are vast expanses of granite ledge-rock hiding just under the surface, affecting drainage, excavating depth and the root systems of trees.

Mostr lots that are located on a lake, pond or shoreline have a mixed "limiting factor" of ledge and water, combined. It is not unusual to see mud and water up to the top of the tracks of our excavator. It is downeast Maine!

Factors that impact sitework costs: ledge-rock, water, accessibility to the site for trucks & trailers, the distance to the gravel pits and other yards, mobilizing to the site.

10. FILL NEEDED, usually after you pull the stumps and strip it, you'll be left with low areas, holes and ruts that will need to be filled and brought to construction grade elevations
11. DRIVEWAY AND PAD AGGREGATES may require rip rap, screenings, tailings in wet areas,  and bank-run, subbase gravel for driving and pad surfaces
